Planner / Scheduler- Levels 1-4
Merritt Island, FL
Contract Position
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule manufacturing activities for engine production.
- Impact scheduling and planning efforts, ensuring seamless coordination between manufacturing and assembly areas.
- Develop, implement, and maintain integrated production schedules to meet delivery goals
- Manage manufacturing baseline and forecast schedules using Primavera P6
- Collaborate closely with production control and program representatives to address schedule risks, issues, and opportunities
- Communicate and coordinate schedule expectations with the production team
- Track and take necessary actions to meet or exceed schedule forecasts
- Identify critical path and production constraints for informed decision-making
- Recommend schedule recoveries through scenario analysis and trade-offs
- Coordinate priorities and tie-outs between program leadership, engineering, and operations
- Ensure accountability for scheduling deliverables
- Prepare analysis and reports on status, forecasts, and delivery health
- Report schedule artifacts and metrics to various levels of leadership
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, project management, or related field
- Scheduling and planning experience in a manufacturing setting
- Proficiency in Primavera (P6), Open Plan, MS Project, or similar scheduling software
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
- Experience in risk management and mitigation
- Ability to foster trust, maintain positive relationships, and contribute to an inclusive culture
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Primavera (P6) scheduling
- Experience in new program/new product introduction environments
- Track record of implementing company-wide process improvements
- Master's degree in a related field
- Project Management certification (PMP/Certified Project Manager)
