Beacon Hill Financial has teamed up with a large national nonprofit here in the D.C. area looking to hire a Staff Accountant! The Staff Accountant will report directly to the Controller while focusing on accounts payable, accounts receivable and reconciliations. The job description can be found below. Job description:
Prepares monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
Prepares bi-weekly / monthly payments
Checking and verifying cash receipt batches
Reconciles activity between Accounting and Development areas
Enters fixed asset purchases on a monthly basis.
Processes and verifies bi-weekly payroll, and maintains payroll records, include tax reports and deduction payments.
Assists with reconciling and recording credit card transactions for monthly close.
