TKWW is looking for a Senior Manager, Data Science who can be the strategic partner and point of contact for all things data for our E-commerce and Planning & guest teams. The manager will be responsible for partnering with leaders across these two zones to drive strategy, as well as partnering with cross-functional stakeholders on our couples and vendor marketplace teams. They will manage a team of data scientists with an emphasis on identifying opportunities and delivering value.
What you will do:
Manage, grow, and mentor a team of data scientists
Work with product, engineering and design partners to identify problems and opportunities that can be addressed using data science and machine learning approaches. Develop a comprehensive roadmap for analytics and reporting that reflects the strategic vision and business priorities.
Build analytics offerings, like data-models, and reporting solutions that include all enterprise KPIs, business and operational metrics and key insights that are available for self-service by stakeholders.
Use A/B testing and causal inference approaches to measure performance of different initiatives and feature launches.
Communicate data science concepts/insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Develop tools and data products that automate manual work, increase operational efficiency, and empower users via self-service
What are we looking for:
5-7 years of hands-on experience in data science and analytics, including 3+ years of experience in leadership and management.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to translate technical concepts clearly and effectively to audiences of varying technical levels
Experience in leading org-wide initiatives across multiple teams and strong track record of influencing the organization and driving tangible business impact
Experience in hypothesis driven product development, with hands-on experience in experimental test design (A/B testing, Counterfactual analysis, causal inference, etc.)
Strong SQL and Python programming skills
Strong knowledge of applied statistics
Preferred experience working at a two-sided marketplace or eCommerce company
Preferred experience in building data models using etl tools like dbt, looker, etc.
High-level understanding of data architecture, data pipelines, and database design
Proficient in data visualization and experience with at least one visualization tool (Tableau, Data studio, Power BI)
