The Department of Psychiatry has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Research Associate to work on the UHealth Campus. The Research Associate 1 supports research activities for the assigned division by conducting laboratory experiments on assigned research projects. Moreover, the incumbent operates with the goal of advancing his/her expertise through continued education, training, and research.


  • Assists with carrying out various research functions for the CNSA's NIH and state funded clinical research projects.


  • Works well with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that tasks are completed in a timely manner and in adherence to the study protocols and timelines.


  • Conducts study procedures onsite and in the community to meet the study timelines and protocols.


  • Transportation preferred due to community-based nature of some of the projects.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field


  • No prior experience required


  • BLS Certification


  • Phlebotomy certification (preferred but not required)


  • Excellent oral and communication skills.


  • English/Spanish bilingual oral communication skills preferred.


  • Basic technical skills with computer


  • Flexible with traveling to participant's homes or the community as needed to provide phlebotomy services.


  • Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.


  • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.


  • Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
