The University of Miami Health System, Miller School of Medicine is initiating a search for an Assistant Professor of Clinical - Gastroenterology.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Provide direct outpatient care to GI patients primarily at the Uhealth Doral Location [9 half days] Opening Fall of 2024
Provide outpatient clinical and endoscopic services who require Gastroenteorlogy/Hepatology services, or screening procedures
Maintain outpatient and endoscopic procedures at Uhealth Doral
DESIRED QUALIFIATIONS:
MD/DO Degree
ACGME US Internal Medicine residency
BE/BC in Internal Medicine
BE/BC in Gastroenterology
Valid unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligible to apply (must have license prior to credentialing)
Must be able to provide prerequisite case logs for procedures for prior two years for credentialing
Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures and techniques
Must maintain CME to meet institutional and state licensing requirements
Must have excellent clinical knowledge and experience to provide safe and quality care to patients and meet institutional standards of care
Current BLS certification required. ACLS
Valid DEA licensure
