Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Engineer in Lake Forest, IL.
Duties Include:
Data Engineer will combine technical expertise and problem-solving passion to work closely with the teams
Translate requirements to system design and develop a solution that delivers business value
Design, develop and manage data infrastructure and pipelines
Develop and implement processes to collect data from a variety of sources, and ensure these processes are reliable and scalable
Create and deploy efficient data storage solutions and optimize these for performance and scalability
Develop data pipelines to automate data extraction, transformation, and loading
As a Data Engineer, you will implement industry-standard data security methods, including encryption, and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations
Data modeling, warehouse design and fact/dimension implementations
Brainstorm and contribute ideas to our technology, algorithms, and products
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
6+ years of programming experience in building and working on large scale distributed system which meets business needs
4-5 years of relevant experience with detailed knowledge of data warehouse, infrastructure components, ETL/ ELT, and reporting/analytic tools
3+ years of experience in Big Data Distributed ecosystems (Hadoop, SPARK, & Hive)
Strong experience in coding languages like Python, Scala & Java
Hands-on experience in Amazon Web Services and Tableau
Fluency with CI/CD toolsets such as: AWS CodePipeline, CloudFormation, GitHub
Experience with agile development methodologies
Implementation experience with column-oriented database technologies (i.e. Redshift), NoSQL database technologies (i.e., DynamoDB) and traditional database systems (i.e., SQL Server, MySQL)
Have working knowledge of Data Lake, Data Warehouse
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve issues, able to analyze complex data and business
Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
