Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce's client, a growing entrepreneurial manufacturer in Grand Rapids, MI is looking to add a Controller to their accounting leadership team. The role will manage a team of 5-6 staff.

Responsibilities:

• Controller will supervise daily operations of the finance department


• Assist with recruiting and lead the development of staff to effectively accomplish the department's goals and objectives


• Coordinate the financial planning and reporting process to provide complete, accurate and timely financial results to senior leadership; Lead the analysis of actual results vs. plan and forecast


• Work with management to design and implement a company-wide visual management system of effective performance metrics; Oversee the day-to-day collection and analysis of non-financial data


• Empower business leaders by giving them the information they need to run the business and partnering with them in the decision-making process


• Proactively drive continuous improvement of processes, technology, and tools to increase productivity and efficiency while managing risk and ensuring compliance


• As a Controller, you will manage the financial audit process and lead the preparation of the official annual report


• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements


• Work with the leadership team, managers, and staff to develop quarterly, annual, and 3-year business plans for the company


• Strong knowledge in cost accounting establishing standard costing within an ERP system

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required


• Five to ten years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position


• Demonstrated examples of great leadership, drive, determination, high values, creativity, and strong problem-solving skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
