SUMMARY: Coordinate with the Director of Grants to support Crowley resources including team members from across all Crowley business units and outside consultants to identify, plan and complete the grant applications process .

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with the Director of Grants, engineering, government relations, and legal resources to support grants planning, applications, and marketing in collaboration with Crowley's commercial business unit (BU) managers. Coordinate with project managers within the respective business units (BU) awarded grant funding to ensure timely compliance with all grant administration requirements, including, but not limited to, reporting, invoicing, and project delivery. Engage with the Director of Grants and team members across the business units to identify, track and report grant opportunities. Engage with the BU and external stakeholders such as port authorities, city government and others to develop a regular annual planning cycle. Coordinate with Director of Grants to provide high level guidance to the business units on grants strategy, opportunities, grant applications, and grant funding sources at the federal, state, and local levels. The Grants Program Manager is not expected to write full grant applications though familiarity with the process is important to the success of the program. Oversee analyst and consultant research on government grants and other funding opportunities in support of Crowley's corporate growth initiatives. Supervise analyst activity to develop and maintain a database of grants related research and internet content that can be shared with the business units. Maintain the grants opportunities pipeline with the business units. Oversee and coordinate the tracking and administration of grant applications and processes including schedule, meeting, writing assignments, technical inputs, editing, reviews. Manage external resources such as grant consultants. Manage team assignments to ensure competitive applications. Assist with grant writing reviews including schedules and document tracking as needed. Maintain the grants opportunities pipeline with the business units. Provide periodic status reports to Director of Grants and senior leadership on the state of the program including previous outcomes, future plans, achievements and issues. EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in a related area; or a combination of post high school and equal experience may be substituted for education. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred. Certified Grants Management Professional (CGMP) or similar certification preferred.

EXPERIENCE: 5 years' experience writing competitive government proposals for contracts or grants, monitoring state and federal grant pipeline, and coordinating on permitting and environmental review process (i.e., CEQA and NEPA).

TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel. Proficient with Adobe Acrobat and PDF editing.

COMPETENCIES: Ability to perform accurately in a detail-oriented environment. Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously while meeting assigned deadlines. Ability to function effectively as a team leader as part of a team. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to identify and/or document existing and new trends as well as evaluate and predict their impact on the organization. Ability to deliver prepared and ad hoc presentations to both large and small groups on job-related topics. Ability to mentor, coach, train and/or supervise employees.

JOB SCOPE: Position impacts multiple business units/segments.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like. Extended use of a computer keyboard, viewing of a computer monitor and the ability to sit for long periods of time.
