SUMMARY: The Manager of Operations is responsible for managing and coordinating their assigned team of Account Managers and/or Capacity Managers. Reporting directly to the Branch Director, the Manager, Operations will work collaboratively to ensure all goals and objectives are met. They will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of their team and have primary responsibility for operational execution and achievement of all designated KPI's.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
EXPERIENCE: 5 - 10 years of domestic transportation experience, with experience/knowledge in account management with a logistics organization preferred. 3 - 5 years' experience in a supervisory or management position.
TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook and Word; knowledge of U.S. transportation, DOT regulations and import/export regulations.
COMPETENCIES: Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills. Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously while meeting assigned deadlines. Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Ability to perform accurately in a detail-oriented environment. Ability to gather, interpret, report and use data and other information concerning assigned activities. Ability to function effectively with, or as part of a team. Skilled in preparing clear and concise documents, including but not limited to reports, procedures, correspondences, and other written materials. Knowledge of the concepts, principles and practices of import forwarding and customs brokerage in a domestic and/or international capacity. Familiar with logistics and transportation principles, concepts and methodologies including inventory management, moving products via various modes, cost analysis and resource optimization.
OTHER: Travel may be required. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like. Extended use of a computer keyboard, viewing of a computer monitor and the ability to sit for long periods of time.
