Staff members in this position, under minimal supervision, performs maintenance, repairs, construction, and troubleshooting on various systems with a primary focus on the Bank’s building automation systems. Various systems that could include, carpentry, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, building automation systems, access control, and security hardware throughout the facility. They provide support for small construction projects and office space re-configurations and maintain specialty equipment. This position is an essential function of the Bank and in the event of an emergency or crisis situation, the incumbent will be required to work extended hours.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Maintains and troubleshoots BAS hardware and software. Performs preventative maintenance tasks on BAS components including sensor calibration, terminal block torquing, and device verification. 


  • Supports the Bank's Building Technology team with software and hardware upgrades, certificate and license management, and audit tasks related to the building automation systems. 


  • Fabricates, installs, and programs DDC control panels/devices according to engineered drawings and sequences. Integrates and configures new DDC controllers into the Bank's Tridium Niagara building automation system (BAS). Creates graphics and configures trends, alarms, data tags, etc. within the Niagara system. Installs and programs lighting control devices in the Bank's Lutron lighting control system. 


  • Utilizes a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to complete work orders in a timely manner.


  • Performs installation of a variety of mechanical and electrical systems such as transformers, switchboards, controllers, breakers, HVAC equipment and circuits to support facility maintenance, renovations, and construction.


  • Supports the installation of security, surveillance and other electronic equipment throughout the facility. Performs locksmith duties such as installing and maintaining locks and related hardware as well as key duplicating. Changes combinations on various automatic locks throughout the building when requested. 


  • Provides installation of all upgrades to the facility electrical, electronic and security systems, and capital projects, updates internal communication systems such as telephone, fiber optic and category 6 LANs to support latest technologies. Complies strictly with local fire protection codes, state building codes, national electrical code and national life safety code.


  • Operates and monitors the Building Automation Systems (BAS) for the critical operating equipment within the facility. Performs routine troubleshooting and repairs to building automation components and devices, such as sensors and actuators.


  • Operates forklifts, bucket lifts, wood working tools, and machinery such as drill press, table saw, router, and sander.


  • May be required to drive bank or personal vehicle in performance of job responsibilities.


Qualifications: 


  • An Associate's or Vocational degree in an electrical or mechanical related discipline or advanced training with a minimum of three years experience.


  • 2-5 years of direct experience in the mechanical or electrical field


  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general carpentry


  • Experience carrying out electrical or mechanical maintenance, to include predictive and preventive planned maintenance.


  • Experience diagnosing and documenting equipment breakdowns, resolving issues, and handling repairs.


  • Experience working with computerized maintenance management systems.
