Summary
ERMC Customer Service Agents are the first line of defense for our customers! This is a customer-facing role, providing first-class customer service to everyone. You are friendly, outgoing and love to make people happy on a daily basis!
Essential Functions / Key Responsibilities
Greets, escorts, and checks passengers in for flight in a friendly, prompt, and courteous manner.
Lifts and/or loads passenger luggage in/out of vehicles and transports to check-in counter.
Enters passenger information into computer system and verifies that baggage meets weight requirements.
Prints bag tags and boarding cards for passengers using the ticketing system.
Reads and verifies passenger identification and boarding card are correct.
Communicates and collects all applicable fees such as additional bag fee and administrative fees to passenger prior to processing transaction in computer system.
Provides information about departures, arrivals and terminal facilities.
Prepares paperwork to report tips to comply with IRS and Company requirements.
Performs other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for this position.
Basic Qualifications/Pre-Requisites
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
Must complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security.
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong work ethic.
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Ability to type and or use a computer keyboard with sufficient speed to meet the requirements of the role.
Able to understand documents, learn and follow ticketing procedures, and other rules and regulations.
• One+ year of relevant experience.
Able to communicate information and instructions verbally and/or via radio equipment.
Able to communicate effectively in a professional manner.
Able to work quickly and efficiently to meet tight time restrictions.
