Plant Engineering Supervisor

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
 

Supervise assignment of work, and coordinate activities of the Plant Engineering department. Provide leadership and direction for appropriate staffing and for effective utilization, training and development of personnel.

As a(n) Plant Engineering Supervisor you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Provide direct supervision to employees and ensure a safe working environment through modeling safe behaviors, leading audits / inspections, correcting unsafe behaviors, conducting safety meetings, and utilizing proper work methods, procedures and equipment.


• Implementing and ensuring use of a Reliability Framework and Asset Management System to drive continual improvements in safety, employee engagement, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness.


• Complete administrative activities such as time / absence reporting, attendance control, vacation planning, overtime, coordinating daily work schedules, allocate work assignments, and regulate maintenance activities to meet specific daily production requirements.


• Representing plant leadership team through driving initiatives across the plant, including but not limited to supervision coverage for alternative shifts, being on-call and serving as a primary plant management representative.

Your Skills and Expertise 
 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Associate’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution AND Five (5) years hands on industrial maintenance experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.

and

• Minimum of two (2) years previous leadership, supervisory and/or management experience (coaching, mentoring and developing Supervisors and their teams) in a private, public, government or military environment

OR

• High School diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution AND Seven (7) years hands on industrial maintenance experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.

and

• Minimum of three (3) years previous leadership, supervisory and/or management experience (coaching, mentoring and developing Supervisors and their teams) in a private, public, government or military environment.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Strong hands-on mechanical equipment background


• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft products and SAP PM


• Strong communication skills and effective management of systems


• Experience working in a union environment.


• Experience with MSHA/mining environment and processes.

Work location: On-site at Corona, CA

Travel: May include up to 5% Domestic

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $119,076 - $145,537, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
