It is the responsibility of this position to manage all aspects of the launch of new models/programs and design changes, interface directly with customers, suppliers, and company's production associates to implement supplier improvements, cost reductions, and provide supplier and/or customer support.



Major Responsibilities

  • Submit customer specific documentation (PPAP, ANPQP, APQP, ISR, etc.) required for the launch of new model/programs and design changes for the supply base.
  • Support VA/VE trials, validation, and implementation at company's customer and supplier facilities for the supply base.
  • Joint check, tooling and process validation at customer and supplier facilities. Includes domestic and international support.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (8D) to improve processes and resolve customer issued corrective action requests.
  • Disposition suppliers suspect material and request Return Material Authorization Number.
  • Support technical training for suppliers as needed.
  • Assist in the implementation of manufacturing specifications, assembly procedures, and inspection standards as needed for suppliers.
  • Communicates frequently with internal and external contacts on various issues.
  • Must follow all company requirements regarding Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures.
  • The work is performed in a general manufacturing environment

Education/Skills required:

  • Have a high school diploma or GED
  • Have a bachelor's or master's degree in a related discipline and generally seven plus years of experience in a related field. -or-



  • Have a PhD in a related discipline with five plus years of experience in a related field.
  • Have experience working with integrated computer programs and/or applications.
  • Have strong communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and possess the ability to coordinate multiple projects and programs.
  • Be able to pass all background checks and pre-employment tests, including any required drug test.
  • Be able to maintain the confidentiality of any information s/he encounters.
