Location: 5 days on-site - Naperville, IL, first shift
Team:
• Supporting technical test, turn up, & configuration of Client Enterprise Solutions devices and products. • This engineering organization is responsible for the design, development, implementation and analysis of Client technical products and systems.
Ideal Candidate/Required Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or 0-3 years of experience testing and configuring technical products in • Engaged and interested in technology - communicate bugs, areas to improve quality of products, and contribute ideas • Show their passion on their resume - has been every person hired • NICE TO HAVE SKILLS per Tek Systems JD - Meraki, Fortigate, Cisco
Day to Day:
• Perform configuration, turn-up, and testing of managed services equipment for day 1 customer installations and day 2 support of existing customers. • Work with off-net providers to troubleshoot connectivity issues with circuits or vendor-supplied Customer Premises Equipment (CPE). • Installs, troubleshoots, and maintains products/equipment • Identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, orders and replaces parts as needed • Perform identification of configuration and other related issues with managed services equipment • Utilizing various software systems and applications to effectively troubleshoot issues • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job • Will have the ability to grow and mentor/train new team members • Ability to participate in engineering design evaluations; may develop a range of products • Opportunity to recommend alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures • Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager • Determines and recommends which products or services best fit the customers' needs
