Roots Handmade Pizza is a locally-owned restaurant bringing Quad Cities style pizza, the best homemade mozzarella sticks and incredible salads to the Chicagoland area. A Commissary Delivery Driver will be responsible for ensuring all orders assigned to their delivery route safely and completely arrive to their destination within a given delivery time window, as well as keeping vehicle expense reports, communicating the maintenance needs of the delivery fleet vehicles to management and deciding and assigning delivery routes.
Essential Functions:
Be familiar with the appearance of all productQuickly and accurately check that all items for all orders assigned to your delivery route are presentLoad all product for your route into your vehicle in a logical manner to be able to efficiently collect and deliver items upon reaching the destinationCollect signature from Guest upon delivery of itemsClean and maintain company vehicle used, upon completion of deliveriesKeep record of all vehicle mileageKeep record of all vehicle expensesCommunicate all vehicle maintenance needs to managementMaintain driver checklists, ensure they are properly being followed and alert manager when there are any issuesDetermine the next day's delivery routes based upon geographical location and delivery window allowances
Other Functions:
Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Wholesale Department as directed by the department managerComply with health and food safety standards, restocking items and cleaning
