The Aspenwood Company is currently recruiting for Director of Life Enrichment for at our Heartis MidCities location a senior living community.
Starting at: $42,000/yr.
Sunday - Thursday | 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
The Director is responsible for planning, scheduling and implementing activities and events that meet the social, spiritual, physical, recreational and cognitive needs of our senior residents. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience coordinating activities for senior citizens in an assisted living and memory care community setting.
Qualified applicants must possess a valid Texas Drivers license, a clear driving history and be able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen test.
Normal schedule is Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. must be available for events in the evening or weekends as scheduled.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:The following duties are normal for this position, and other duties may be required as assigned:
Planning and implementation of appropriate activities per day in terms of quality, interest and needs.Creation of the monthly activity calendar and newsletter for the assisted living and memory care neighborhoods.Complete at least six hours of continuing education each year regarding Alzheimers disease or related disorders.Carries out the planning of large and small parties and special events.Manages the departmental budget.Informs residents and staff of changes to scheduled programming in a timely manner.Evaluates programming quality and participation on an ongoing basis.Communicates with residents and families regarding participation and satisfaction with activity programs.
