Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsible for the overall care of the children in the Foster Care Case Management.
Supervises Case Management team focusing on overall treatment.
Responsible for ensuring all policies, procedures, protocols, Plan of Care development and implementation, paperwork, data entry and practices allow for the smooth delivery of services to children and their families.
Provide scheduled supervision with Case Managers, helping them assess permanency goals and monitor progress toward said goals.
Assign new referrals to Case Managers and enter start up information in client management system.
Attend FST/PPRT meetings with assigned Case Managers as necessary.
Assist Case Managers in researching and referring children and families for needed services.
Manage on-call process; be on-call or back-up on-call as scheduled.
Facilitate Case Management team meetings and keep team informed of Agency goals, objectives, policies, accomplishments and concerns.
Monitor Case Managers' attendance and compliance with training.
Monthly auditing of Case Managers' compliance with client management system entry and budget.
Review and sign court reports.
Attend court hearings as needed.
Maintain contact with CD Oversight Specialists.
Track and return cases to Children's Division upon completion of services.
Attend Leadership Team meetings at Missouri Alliance for Children and Families.
Attend contractor meetings.
Send out monthly reports to external entities as needed.


Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises 6 to 10 employees in the Foster Care Case Management. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience

Master's degree (M.A.) in social work, counseling, psychology or related field; or Bachelor's degree (B.A) with four to ten years related experience and/or training with variance approval from contractor.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Internet software and Word Processing software.


Other Qualifications

Have a minimum of one year supervisory experience and three years of experience in the human services field.
