Responsibilities:
Build strategic relationships with best in class partner carriers, while meting monthly and quarterly profitability
goals
Requires being a team player as the position will work closely with Sales, Relationship Managers, Customer
Service, and Operations
Negotiate carrier rates (both spot and contracted) to optimize profits, work with shippers, carriers, and
dispatchers to manage pickup/delivery schedules that meet contractual SLAs and resolve freight discrepancies in a timely manner
Problem-solverover the phone with drivers and dispatchers, track shipments of loads booked, and vet carriers
through FMCSA
Responsible for carrier setups, including DocuWare complianceMaintain current knowledge of the freight market and be effective at maintaining, developing, and managing
carrier relationships
Customer-oriented and have the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Build and maintain strong, long-lasting carrier relationshipsWork closely with sales to translate pipeline opportunities into profitable business by strategically leveraging
existing carrier base and/or developing new carrier relationships and you will manage multiple tasks based on the client's day to day needs: sourcing carriers, order entry, quoting, tracking & trace, scheduling, etc.
