Job Description:

At Montgomery Logistics (ML) we have two customers: The shipper and our partner carriers. As a Carrier Relations Manager or CRM, you’ll be responsible for growing, managing and developing relationships with both new and existing carriers across the country. ML has more freight than we can handle so we’re looking for high energy, motivated and driven individuals to join our rapidly growing team. We work in a very fast paced, competitive, noisy yet fun and rewarding environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
•This is a high volume outbound call business. Plan to be on the phone most of the day developing your carrier baseand sourcing capacity.
•Booking loads, making deals and negotiating rates.
•Posting available loads & searching for trucks on 3rd party load boards.
•Track & trace shipments from start to finish. Providing Account Managers with up to date information on the progressof their loads. On time service is a priority.
•CRM’s will maintain their own stable of qualified partner carriers. Entering them into our TMS and maintaining theirfiles.
•Develop and cultivate strong relationships with our carrier base. CRM’s must be able to determine needs of ourcarrier base & identify lanes of network value for them.
•Occasional travel may be required to meet with customers.
•Other duties as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
•High School diploma•Understanding of current FMCSA Regulations and hours of service.
•Existing carrier relationships. Flatbed carriers are a plus.
•1+ year experience in transportation/logistics or degree in Supply Chain Management.
•Experience with McLeod software, and consistent record of accurately rating and pricing truckload shipments are a plus.•Proficient use in Microsoft suite of products (Excel, Word, etc.)
•Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with ability and desire to build lasting relationships with carriers, dispatchers, and drivers.•Time management and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail are key.
•Ability to multi-task and effectively handle multiple accounts simultaneously.
•Desire and ability to effectively negotiate and solve problems by offering creative solutions.•Ability to persuade, motivate, influence and seek a mutually agreeable arrangement with others.
•Ability to work in a team environment, while also delivering independent results.•Anticipate and proactively resolve potential customer service is
sues.
