Wood's Consulting business is growing, and we are seeking a talented Manufacture Execution System (MES) Consultant or Senior Consultant to support a new service line. Ideally this role would be seated out of Houston, TX, but a remote working arrangement will be considered for the right candidate.
The candidate should demonstrate an ability to perform the regular tasks required of a project engineer: the ability to understand business problem, write functional design and specifications, implement MES applications under the guidance of Technical Lead and Project Manager, followed by testing and deployment. RESPONSIBILITIES
Hands on experience with Aspen MES system including Aspen Tech IP.21, and AspenOne Process Explorer. Bonus would be Aspen Production Record Manager, Aspen Production Execution Manager
Hands on experience on SQL database and SQL scripting
Hands on experience on graphics
Hands on experience with programming language such as javascript or C#
Hands on experience with Willing to learn new technology.
Experience in deployment and support MES applications
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Process or Chemical preferred) or Computer Science is required
Minimum 3 years of project experience with AspenTech MES (Aspen Tech IP.21, and AspenOne Process Explorer) from requirement gathering stage to qualification and final delivery.
Knowledge in Aspen Production Record Manager, Aspen Production Execution Manager is an advantage.
Experience on Microsoft SQL server is advantage
Strong analytical and communication (oral, written) skills with the ability to grow into a trusted advisor.
Great problem solving and analytical skills to convert customer needs into comprehensive solution visions, value propositions and execution plans
Ability to work with team and independently
Must be a US citizen or authorized to work lawfully in the US, without sponsorship from Wood
Other skills which would be considered an asset are:
Knowledge on PI System integration with third party applications/tools
Knowledge of ERP (SAP) and integration with MES system
Some knowledge of network configuration including routing, DNS, and firewalls
Good understanding of IIS, web services and Windows Services
Industry knowledge in any of the following fields; Oil and Gas, Manufacturing, Automotive, Pharmaceuticals, etc.
