PRIMARY FUNCTION:

This position will proactively support GPEC equipment and GPEC customers' equipment by analyzing Product Link fault codes, oil sample results, machine inspection reports, equipment repair history, site conditions, and providing reports and recommendations based on this data.

ESSENTIAL DUTIS:


  • Provide real time condition monitoring and health status updates for the growing population of connected equipment for Energy and Transportation customer base.
  • Gather data from available resources per serial number or per customer population information as requested by the Energy and Transportation service team or Caterpillar for reporting and potential quoting opportunities. All quoting opportunities will be provided to the appropriate Product Support Rep assigned to the customer's account.
  • Provide equipment codes and alerts to the appropriate PSSR or TC to provide emergency recommendations to both internal and external customers regarding equipment health.
  • Provide information for condition monitoring lead tracking and resolution in CRM to be assigned to the Product Support Rep.
  • Utilize the Condition Monitoring (CM) Dashboard from CANAM to review equipment data and develop leads or reporting.
  • Monitor / assist Service group with all monitoring OEM subscription plans, renewals, and invoicing.
  • Build collaborative relationships with department peers as well as other customer-facing representatives (e.g., PSSR, ISR, etc.)
  • Consult with service department personnel and PSSR/ISR's regarding equipment management strategies such as advice, recommendations, compare & contrast, etc.

    • Self-motivated and flexible with the ability to maintain daily routines and adapt to changing conditions. Must be able to think outside the box, visualize the big picture, and build cases based upon limited clues. (should this be below in minimum requirements)

  • Monitor / review internal connected assets daily to ensure connectivity, proper operation, and to check for any alerts, codes and / or warnings.
  • Report to the appropriate service personnel.
  • Monitoring includes all utilized types of monitoring manufacturers such as Cat Connect / Cat Ram / Vision Link, Omnimetrix, Blue Pillar, and others.
  • Assist service personnel with any associated data, reporting, metrics information, etc. as required or requested.
  • Perform other duties as necessary and/or assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:

An associates/technical degree with three years' experience in Energy and Transportation business segments in service and/or parts operations or a high school diploma with five years' experience in service and/or parts operations in similar market.

Work Experience:

Experience with Caterpillar equipment or similar OEM product lines; Experienced user of dealer's business systems: SIS Web, Contract Tracking, Work Order & Parts Ordering processes with ability to learn new software platforms. (i.e. CM Dashboard, Vision Link, Omnimetrix, etc.)

Physical:

Must be able to work for long periods while seated.

Other:

Must be PC literate with an intermediate level skill with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint); Self-motivated with the ability to maintain daily routines and adapt to changing conditions; Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
