Meet the team:


The Sr Manager - Design Verification Test is accountable for leadership and success of the V&V engineering team which is responsible for development and validation of test methods, product performance, safety verification, and analysis of test studies of electro-mechanical and electro-chemical designs, instruments, subassemblies, and system level assemblies for Dexcom's growing portfolio of products. As the leader of the V&V function, the individual manages the team's performance to assure meeting technical objectives and establishes midterm as well as long-term goals.

  • Experienced technical leader familiar with verification and validation of regulated electromechanical devices.


  • Highly accountable manager that delivers results while defining challenging goals and objectives.


  • Coach and mentor using first engineering principles to design test solutions.


  • The ability to seamlessly lead and mentor the team in technical failures investigations.


  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to modernize, scale and optimize test processes and methodologies.





What makes you successful:





  • Proven leadership experience in medical device design, development, and/or verification.


  • Deep technical knowledge in structured problem solving, test method validation, statistical analysis, and related technical skills.


  • Experienced in design for six sigma and/or lean six sigma green/black belt. Certification preferred.


  • A good understanding of emotional intelligence with strong interpersonal and communication skills.


  • A situational leader that flexes styles for the individual and task.


  • Results-oriented, self-disciplined, fast-paced, motivated individual that requires minimal supervision.

Experience and Education Requirements:



  • Typically requires a Bachelors degree with 13+ years of industry experience.


  • 5-8 years of previous people management experience.
