Are you an HR professional looking to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic and growing organization? Merchants Fleet is seeking an HR Generalist to play a pivotal role in our Human Resources team. As an HR Generalist, you will contribute to various HR functions including job description management, compensation analysis, employee file management, HRIS reporting, and collaboration with our talented payroll team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Job Description Management: Ensure all job descriptions are current and accurate, conducting audits for all active roles.
  • Job Analysis and Compensation Research: Assist in creating new job descriptions, analyzing roles, and conducting compensation research to ensure internal and external equity.
  • Workflow Coordination: Review HRIS workflow daily to ensure timely processing of employee changes and liaise with payroll for seamless processing.
  • Personnel File Management: Oversee electronic personnel file management to ensure compliance and proper recordkeeping.
  • HRIS Optimization: Collaborate with the Senior HRIS Analyst to optimize system utilization and introduce new features through training opportunities.
  • Employee Inquiries: Respond to various HR inquiries including verification of employment and unemployment in a timely and confidential manner.
  • Engagement Support: Support company and team employee engagement efforts to foster a positive work environment.
  • Additional Support: Perform other duties to support HR Operations as needed.

Experience and Skills:

  • Experience: Minimum of three years of related HR experience, including job analysis and HRIS system interaction.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills, proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and experience working with HRIS, preferably Ceridian Dayforce.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to effectively multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication: Excellent written and public speaking skills, with the ability to establish strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Ethics and Certification: High ethical standards with a preference for SPHR/PHR or SHRM-SCP/CP Certification.

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in HR or related field, or equivalent years of experience.

Schedule and Location:

  • Monday to Friday with a hybrid option, including remote work up to two days per week.

Salary: $70 80K + Bonus & Benefits
