Shift

Job Summary
About the role: The Employee Engagement Director will be responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive employee engagement strategy for our academic health system and university. This work is mission critical to creating the foundation of a best-in-class work culture for our employees.
The top priorities for our Director of Employee Experience/Engagement include:
Completion of our annual employee engagement survey across our academic health system and university.
Serves as the subject matter expert on survey results and will heavily engage with leaders and teams in sharing the survey results and creating action plans to drive positive employee engagement.
Coach and educate HRBPs, supervisors, and executive leaders as they proactively engage to address questions, issues and strategic/implementation needs.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
This position will partner with all levels of leadership within the health system to develop and implement strategic plans and tactics to improve engagement and enhance the employee experience.
Responsible for the regular completion of an employee engagement survey, both institutionally and at the local unit/college/department level, and pulse surveys. Conduct employee focus groups to complement engagement surveys.
Create an effective communication plan and provide content for various communication vehicles to ensure team members and supervisors are aware of available resources and to visibly celebrate progress in increasing employee engagement.
Extraordinary strategic consulting, client management and business literacy skills with demonstrated understanding of corporate and business unit challenges
Has the ability to apply Design Thinking or Human-Centered Design methodologies

Preferred Education/Experience
Minimum of seven years’ progressive experience in employee engagement, with leadership experience required. This role will not focus on organizational development or any other areas of HR.
Significant experience with Press Ganey required.
Master’s degree in O/I Psychology, Human Resources, business, management or related field is preferred
Prefer advanced degree in O/I Psychology, Human Resources, business, management or related field and work experience within a healthcare system and/or a university system.
