Key Responsibilities
The Supply Chain Data Scientist is responsible for creating ideas to optimize and transform our supply chain from the data point of view, implementing solutions, and developing our data capabilities. The role requires pulling data, analyzing it, simulating, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to determine the business impact.
Key Activities:
Drive success within the Supply Chain team by providing an essential analytic foundation.
Increase the visibility of our supply chain by developing metrics, dashboards, and reports that offer a comprehensive view of our supply chain.
Produce value analyses of the supply chain including network, transportation and product flow that enable business teams to make decisions on potential initiatives.
Improve inventory management from a service and cash flow perspective by optimizing purchasing logic.
Support cross-functional teams in normalizing data across ERPs, integrating systems, and implementing new technology (such as TMS, WMS, WES, and so on).
Explore new technologies and quantify their value such as machine learning, process mining, data lakes, RPA, and so on.
Manage all aspects of supply chain data attributes.
Documents and defines business rules, facilitates access controls, works with others to implement the process, and monitors adherence.
Key COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS REQUIRED
Extensive use of scientific design and data collection methodologies, tools and analysis packages to collect, validate, and analyze research data
Advanced Expertise in SQL Query
Demonstrate the ability to quickly learn new processes and uncover new offerings that may assist the current customer base
Microsoft Office applications; Advanced Excel skills, including Macros, Filters, V-Lookups, Pivot Tables. Power BI or like toolset experience.
Ability to manage multiple complex tasks to completion
Ability to energize, develop, and build rapport at all levels within an organization
Strategic thinking: Big picture orientation and conceiving effective strategies to drive growth
Experience managing inventory across multiple sites.
Attention to detail.
Stakeholder management skills
Excellent business acumen skills
Ability to communicate complex topics to people with varying backgrounds and levels of technical familiarity
Knowledge of Eclipse Solar by Epicor ERP
