Duties & Responsibilities
Lead and contribute to projects related to air quality and waste disposal, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
Conduct air quality assessments, emissions inventories, and Waste storage/handling audits.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess the environmental impact of projects and propose mitigation measures.
Stay abreast of environmental regulations, policies, and guidelines related to air quality and waste disposal.
Ensure projects adhere to local, state, and federal environmental requirements.
Plan and manage air emission testing projects.
Prepare air and waste permit applications and negotiate with permitting agencies.
Prepare air emission and waste generation estimates for chemical manufacturing and other processes.
Work closely with clients to understand their air quality and waste reduction objectives and provide expert guidance.
Stay informed about emerging technologies in air quality monitoring and air pollution control equipment.
Propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance environmental performance.
Mentor and support the professional development of junior engineers.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental engineering with air and waste focus.
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
Knowledge of relevant air quality and waste regulations and environmental impact assessment processes.
Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences.
Proven project management capabilities.
