Position Summary | The Technology Coordinator is a member of the Faculty Support team and reports to the Associate Director, Faculty Support and Digital Learning Environment in the Office of Academic Innovation. This position will support PSU faculty and teaching staff in effectively using digital technologies by providing in-person, virtual, and just-in-time consultation, and assisting with digital technology support resources. The Technology Coordinator will also play a pivotal role in supporting the Associate Director in coordinating technology and site administration in collaboration with the Office of Information Technology (OIT). In this capacity, the Coordinator will oversee internal support requests, prioritizing hardware and software deployment and maintenance and managing asset inventory. Additionally, the Coordinator will provide AV/IT support for OAI events. In close partnership with the Associate Director, the Coordinator will ensure consistent communication with OAI staff regarding available technologies and support services, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues as they arise. All duties will be informed by best practices in digital pedagogy and technology applications. The position will assist the Associate Director in maintaining the Digital Learning Environment and assist other OAI staff in developing innovative support materials. This position will also contribute to OAI’s research of best practices in Digital Learning, with an emphasis on new and emerging technologies. |
Minimum Qualifications from Classification | This classification requires a basic foundation of knowledge and skills of technology and information systems generally obtained through an AA degree in computer science, information systems, educational technology, communications, or related fields, or similar certified course work in applicable fields of study and at least one year of related work experience. |

Total Compensation Range & Benefits Statement | The starting salary rate for this position will be between $21.60 to $25.92 per hour. The starting salary may be negotiable above this range, however it will be dependent upon the knowledge, experience, skills and abilities of the chosen candidate, the budget of the hiring department, and approval from HR.
