As a UX Design Lead within the PayPal.com team, you will guide your team in executing on end-to-end experiences for our Consumer segment. You will guide your team in collaborating in cross-functional team design sprints to build and deliver a compelling marketing UX experience for millions of people around the world.

You will lead a team that has a passion for designing intuitive cross-platform experiences leveraging prototyping techniques, empathy, and research with a test & learn mindset.You will help us find and develop great design talent andhave a passion forcoaching designers and partners inempathizing with customer problems, and how to diagnose them with data and treat them through design.


You will report to the UX Director of PayPal.com andbe a member of our diverse Experience Design Organization where we use our design and research skills to inspire and influence across the company.We believe that different perspectives and backgrounds inside our team lead to innovation and inclusion in our product design. Your Day to Day:



  • Lead design strategy and execution to create industry-leading experiences for our PayPal.com guests

  • Have an exquisite eye for aesthetics and rich engaging .Com marketing UX experiences

  • Lead a team of designers, encouragebest practicesinprocess and methodology and deliver against business KPIs and customer needs

  • Lead UX efforts within your cross-functional team, including design sprints, ideation sessions, strategy, planning, participating in delivery and presenting effectively to stakeholders

  • Coach the team to use established design systems, style guides, patterns and assets in the creation of experience design deliverables

  • Contribute and lead key priority UX projects in a contributor role

  • Actively contribute to the wider UX community, leveraging your strengths to help others grow

  • Mentor the design library team to grow and enhance their capabilities and careers

  • Contribute to the wider UX & UX manager community, mentoring others, leveraging your strengths to help others grow

  • Ability to manage corporate communications on design system updates and training of team on democratization of new component designs

  • Hold team accountable to leverage and extend the use of design system, style guides, patterns and assets in the creation of UX deliverables




What You Need to Bring:



  • A successful candidate will have at least 8 years of experience and 3-4+ years managing direct reports

  • Leading bar raising .com experiences with motion design is preferred

  • Proven experience in leading, growing and inspiring highly talented and productive Experience Design teams

  • Experience leading delivery, through feedback, design critique, presentation to program sponsors, planning and coordinating with partners where needed

  • Familiarity and experience with standard design and prototyping tools, such as Figma, Miro, Microsoft Office, Slack, Jira, Lottie

  • A Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in the study of user experience, design, research or related fields is preferred but not required
