Job Description:

Edelman US Health is looking for an ACD/Art Director (and if you have and ACD/Copywriter you love working with, we'd love to meet them too!) to help us make work that's packed with substance and purpose. The kind of work that's designed to answer actual problems while making our industry peers jealous.

Whether we're teaming up with global health brands to launch mind blowing medical innovations, creating a groundbreaking app to help runners with allergies find pollen-free running routes, or partnering with Jeff Bridges to give the immunocompromised community hope, the work we create is designed to capture attention and get people talking. It's not enough to be culturally relevant-our briefs demand that we change culture around us. Now we need a strong ACD Art Director who can help unlock more of those bold and inspiring ideas.

What kind of creative work will you do? We're glad you asked. Because our work doesn't really fit inside any kind of standard PR/Advertising/Communications/Marketing box, there's no "cookie-cutter" creative brief here. You might be batting around ideas for a :60 anthem in the morning, workshopping AI ideas with our connected experience team led by the amazing Taj Reid (look him up!) around lunch, and brainstorming what if's for the next big activation idea that disrupts culture for good in the afternoon. So, if you're looking to come up with ideas that go beyond the traditional 30-second spot - the kind of ideas that end up in the pages of the New York Times and on the Cannes shortlist - you'll be in good company here.

Responsibilities


    • Work in partnership with an Associate Creative Director, Copywriter and with the direction of creative leadership to concept and plan execution of integrated campaigns and programs across a wide range of media and platforms, especially social, digital, video, and experiential activations.

    • Create and design campaign ideas for client projects and new business pitches that are earned-first and social by design.

    • Work in concert with a wide range of specialties including account, strategy, project management, and influencer.

    • Develop tactics that bring creative concepts to life and achieve program objectives.

    • Manage multiple jobs simultaneously; managing and providing direction to other team members as needed.

    • Work closely with a project manager and production partners to schedule projects and coordinate production.

    • Prepare and present client creative presentations; Drive client approval process.

    • Work effectively with external vendors and internal colleagues to complete projects within the timeframe and budget.

Basic Qualifications


    • At least 6 years of relevant experience in Communications Marketing, Creative, and/or related fields

    • A bachelor's degree preferably in Fine Arts, Advertising or Graphic Design or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications


    • Passion and genuine interest in making a difference in the Health and Wellness space - someone who is pumped about making non-cringy, amazing, award-winning, jealous-worthy health work!

    • Stays in tune and in front of culture, social media, and new tech

    • The candidate must have experience in concepting and art direction in a supporting, individual and team capacity, in all mediums

    • Experience and confidence in maintaining client contact as needed and assisting with budget and schedule development

    • Ability to prioritize and manage work, adhering to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment

    • Previous roles in Advertising or Graphic Design, a portfolio of ideas and executions demonstrating strong layout and composition with a keen eye for typography and motion

    • A professional-level mastery of industry-standard design software and tools including the full suite of Adobe Creative Cloud, and Microsoft Office (esp. PowerPoint for building presentations), plus experience and/or appetite to leverage AI tools for concept visualization a big plus

    • Production experience in art direction and design for video, digital, and social platforms

    • Experience in influencer and or community management a plus

    • Presentation experience and pizzazz (yes, we just used the word "pizzazz")

    • Pride in your previous work and the ability to communicate accomplishments

$86,000 - $133,000 a year

An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
