Position: Incoming Inspector (I)

Location: Onsite, Logan Utah

About the Role:

As an Incoming Inspector at Spartronics, you will examine the quality of incoming components to ensure compliance with Spartronics and Customer specifications. Your contributions will help us continue our journey towards Winning as One: One company. One team. One purpose. One plan. One culture.

Job Summary:

Essential Job Functions

• Inspects incoming inventory for proper documentation and compliance with specifications
• Maintains daily incoming inspection and/or yield data log
• Verifies incoming product meets Spartronics and customer standards
• Communicates inspection results to Purchasing, CFT, and Program Management
• Completes Receiving Inspection Report (RIR) per established criteria

Requirements

To excel in this role, you'll need:

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Associate degree or vocational/technical degree in technical or engineering field (preferred)
• J-Std and IPC–600 or IPC–610 certifications within 90 days of employment
• 1 – 3 years related work experience (preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Ability to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret Clearance
• Advanced level of attention to detail
• Basic level computer skills
• Good verbal and written communication
• Works well in a team environment
• Knowledge of quality inspection standards (preferred)
• Read engineering specifications (preferred)
• Operate inspection tools including an X-ray machine, microscope, and camera (preferred)

Physical Requirements

• Lifting: Up to 50lbs., repeatedly. Team lifts over 50 lbs.
• Reaching: Overhead, frequently
• Fine Motor Skills: Prolonged and repetitive soldering and other hand operations. Requires gripping, twisting, and pinching with both hands and fingers
• Must be able to sit and/or stand for up to 10 hours
• Repetitive twisting at the waist

Work Schedule

The planned schedule is a 4-day/10-hour work week.

The shift structure will be 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM. The shift schedule will begin once training has been completed, (30-90 days). The initial training schedule will follow the shift structure of 5:00 AM - 3:00 PM. The shift runs Monday - Thursday.
