Kforce has a client in Greenwood Village, CO that is seeking a highly skilled AWS EMR Developer to support our team in migrating and managing applications and platforms on the AWS cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
AWS EMR Developer will develop and maintain Python/Java applications and scripts to automate cloud infrastructure tasks
Utilize advanced IAC techniques, with a preference for Terraform, to provision and manage cloud resources efficiently
Administer AWS or other cloud provider infrastructure accounts, ensuring security, scalability, and cost-effectiveness
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing and resolving complex technical issues related to EMR, Hive, Spark, and spot fleet optimization
Design and implement Lambda functions, Kinesis Firehose streams, and other AWS services to meet project requirements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to prioritize tasks and deliver solutions effectively
As a AWS EMR Developer, you will utilize ticketing systems like JIRA for task management and tracking
Implement CICD pipelines and merge request processes using GitLab for continuous integration and deployment
REQUIREMENTS:
Advanced experience with Infrastructure as Code (IAC), preferably using Terraform
Experience in Lambda design and Kinesis Firehose configuration
Experience with CICD pipelines and merge request processes using GitLab
Knowledge of least privilege control models for security
Expertise in EMR, Hive, Spark, and optimizing spot fleets for performance and cost efficiency
Familiarity with ticketing systems such as JIRA
Strong understanding of AWS or other enterprise cloud provider infrastructure administration, with a preference for AWS
Proficiency in Python and/or Java programming languages
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to address and resolve complex technical issues
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience with Datadog integrations and metrics monitoring
Experience with EMR serverless deployments
Exposure to NIFI for data ingestion and processing
Background in Hadoop administration
Familiarity with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration
Knowledge of AWS Inspector solutions for security assessments
Proficiency in SQL, with a preference for Athena
Networking background, including configuration of VPCs and Firewalls
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
