Kforce has a client that is seeking a Program/Senior Project Manager in San Francisco, CA.
Overview:
This Program Manager will be challenged to perform in a fast-paced environment with many moving parts responsible for managing multiple enterprise application/software and complex integrations projects that have a direct impact on company revenue and growth. This role requires strong communication skills, diplomacy, and an even temperament to manage technical scope closely with cross functional teams and technical leads with stakeholder interests in mind.
Duties/Day to Day Overview:
Uses established project management methodologies/tools, work with team to successfully manage complex scopes of work(s), which include - defining work effort and estimates, developing effective team execution plan(s), supporting teamwork effort by removing impediments, anticipating issues, and ensuring right parties are engaged to resolve problems. Performs financial management of the project: budgeting & forecasting, cost benefit analysis, EV/ROI/earn vs. burn analysis, team velocity, etc.
Communicates project information to all project team members, sponsors, vendors, and IT managers, as appropriate
Develops project quality control policy and procedures and communication plans
Anticipates strategic impact to projects (inter dependencies to/from other projects); Coordinates with appropriate parties
Owns project budget; Expected to anticipate budget issues, resolve timely, adjust forecasts, and guide working issue through resolution
Demonstrate good judgment and depth of experience in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
Thorough understanding of project and the cause and effect of team decisions
Recommends project strategy; Clearly articulates explanations of complex regulatory and project issues/risks to team members and management within the organization
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree, preferably with a technical focus
10+ years of experience in Project/Program Management, with experience managing large, highly visible software and application development projects
Retail experience is required
Experience with projects related to retail backend systems such as supply chain domain (order management, merchandising, inventory, supply chain order visibility, order management), logistics (return logistics, warehouse operations, warehouse management system, transportation management), or corporate systems like ERP, B2B, etc.
Strong experience planning and managing cross functional programs across the organization
Ability to be hands on - partnering with stakeholders to create a detailed project plan, break program into multiple tracks, manage different work streams, and manage those tracks of work as needed, as well as manage risk/budget/resources and partner with other leaders on prioritization
Strategically partner with delivery leaders on prioritization and program delivery
Highly hands-on
Confident and mature attitude
Additional Qualifications:
A strong Project Manager that is involved in all PM responsibilities and PM fundamentals from detailed project plans, budget, scope, resource and timeline management, status reports, risk and issue logs and management, deployment planning
Strong Project Management experience with a proven track record of working cross functionally
Clear, precise communication is a must for this role as she would be speaking to VPs and above in steering committee meetings and other settings
Demonstrated SDLC project experience with experience working in an Agile environment is required
Should be able to excel in a fast-paced environment, deal with and be able to steer team in ambiguous situations
Need a strong, edge of your seat, engaging personality type person
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
