Distribution and Logistical Services is a diverse group of auxiliary enterprises that provide essential services to students, faculty, and staff, in support of the university's academic mission on the Bloomington campus. Distribution and Logistical Services encompasses Document Services, Campus Mail, Warehouse and Surplus Stores.
Job Summary
Under general supervision, performs duties related to collection, sorting, and delivery of Campus Mail for all IU Bloomington Departments, and collect and prepare mail to be sent to the regional campuses.
Department Specific Responsibilities
Drives mini van/step-van to all locations on the Bloomington campus and intermittently to IUPUI.
Sorts and prepares mail for delivery.
Other duties as assigned by department.

Possess a valid driver's license with the ability to be insured by Indiana University

Ability to read mail labels and sort mail into bins
Ability to access Domestic and International Mail manuals via computer to learn most up to date postal information
Ability to use computer for timekeeping purposes, and general computer knowledge such as email
Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information
Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires stationary positioning for long periods of time. This role requires the ability to drive. This role requires the ability to frequently lift items weighing up to 70 pounds, as well as carrying, walking, and placing items. This role requires the ability to work indoors and outdoors, in both hot and cold temperatures. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential tasks with or without an accommodation.
