Part-Time Companion Animal Research Technician

Are you passionate about the excellent care of animals? Are you hard working and love to work on a team? This role is located at our farm which is the Purina Animal Nutrition Center. It is the home of scientific research and innovation for the last 125 years, where we continually work to unlock the greatest potential of every animal.

You will be responsible for daily care and management of animals within the Companion Animal Unit. Responsibilities will include: feeding, cleaning pens/cages, weighing animals, data entry, and general housekeeping within the unit. Species involved include but not limited to: sheep, goats, poultry, captive deer, and fish.

Required qualifications/competencies:
High school diploma or GED
Able to lift 50 lbs
Valid driver's license required

Preferred experience:
Animal care experience, livestock preferred

Schedule:
This position is part-time, weekends and holidays with limited weekday hours.
Primarily Saturday & Sunday 7:00am - 3:30pm. You may have the opportunity to pick up some additional hours during the week.

Wage:
$17.39 per Hour
