Main Purpose



As a Mobile Equipment Maintenance Mechanic, you will be at our East Chicago, IN site performing maintenance on various types of mobile equipment. No travel is required.




This is a 1st Shift position Mon-Fri 6:45AM-3:15PM and occasional on-call availability is required.




Key Job Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, diagnostic, and corrective maintenance on all plant mobile equipment including forklifts, backhoes, trackhoes, and semis


• Maintain an inventory of spare parts for mobile equipment


• Ensure preventive maintenance program is in compliance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required


• Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of mobile equipment


• Ability to provide own tools is required


• Valid Driver's License is required


• Five to seven (5 to 7) years working in an industrial environment


• Five to seven (5 to 7) years working on and operating mobile equipment, backhoe, trackhoe, fork trucks


• Experience working on semi-trucks is a plus


• Experience working on diesel engines is a plus
