Description: The Judge Group has partnered with a manufacturing in the Yuba City area to find a Safety Specialist for their team. This role will grow into a manager role in the future!
This job will have the following responsibilities:
Understanding of Federal/State environmental and OSHA laws and regulations to ensure all local, state and federal regulatory requirements and permits are being met and implemented
Develops and conducts safety training for employees
Assist in the incident investigation process to ensure incidents are investigated and root causes are identified
Monitor site metrics and conduct report outs of metrics to the plant management team
Help maintain a safe and healthy work environment across the plant in all departments for all personnel
Ensure all programs, policies, and guidelines are followed by all team members and provide any updates to these programs and policies in accordance with government policies
Provide continuous safety education and training to all employees along with leading new hire orientation through safety training
Provide regular reports to corporate safety team
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree
2+ years of Safety Experience in manufacturing
