What you'll do...



  • Supports Walmart Health and its providers by managing APP (Advanced Practice Provider) and CP (Collaborative Provider) agreements in accordance with state guidelines.


  • Builds and executes the strategy for expansion to support state-specific laws and regulations (including Walmart Health Centers and Virtual Care). Builds tracking functionality in a resource tool in conjunction with Compliance to monitor agreements, meetings, and chart reviews per state guidelines and Walmart policies for APPs and CPs. Builds and oversees a regional team to support each state's guidelines and agreements. Guides and develops subject-matter experts to support clinical providers.


  • Understands and monitors state-specific physician, physician assistant, and nursing board regulations related to advanced practice provider collaboration for nurse practitioners and physician assistants to ensure compliance in how collaborations are arranged and managed (for example, APP/CP agreements, regulation certifications like CAQH , state-specific requirements for licensure, controlled substance guidelines, reporting).


  • Collaborates using a team-based approach with field leadership to match physicians and APPs for partnership. Determines back-up/covering physician in the absence of the collaborating physician if required by state. Populates the appropriate agreements and supporting documents for collaboration and ensures execution by all parties. Obtains payments needed to submit required paperwork to appropriate authorities or gives direction to the providers on how to do so in their state if state requires secure provider login. Develops relationships and works directly with the state authorities to process the agreement applications and obtain confirmation of approval and acceptance per state requirements. Completes termination forms when agreements change or end. Submits executed forms to state authorities and/or works with providers to submit timely forms per state requirements.


  • Serves as a subject-matter expert in healthcare compliance, with significant experience and familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements (for example, state scope of practice and related necessities, federal and state healthcare regulations, billing requirements).


  • Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.


  • Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness.


  • Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy.


  • Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events.

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor's degree in health care administration, health care compliance, health care, or related area.
2 years' experience in project or program management, healthcare operations, or related area.
2 years' experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.
