What You'll Do:
Technical Leadership:
Spearhead the formulation and execution of the technical vision and strategy for Walmart's payments processing domain, encompassing Credit/Debit, PayPal, BNPL, Rewards, EBT, eWIC, and more.
Maintain a pulse on the ever-evolving landscape of payment technologies, proactively integrating the latest advancements into our systems to ensure we remain at the forefront of the industry.
Demonstrate adeptness in managing multiple initiatives simultaneously, while upholding the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Team Management:
Lead and nurture a team of exceptionally skilled engineers, fostering a culture of positivity, inclusivity, and collaboration within the group.
Drive key team activities including meetings, code reviews, sprint planning, and production releases, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
Develop and implement strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent, leveraging mentorship, training, and succession planning initiatives to cultivate a high-performing workforce.
Operational Excellence:
Prioritize operational excellence by continuously monitoring and optimizing the performance of payment systems to meet or exceed defined Service Level Objectives (SLOs).
Establish best-in-class alerting and monitoring mechanisms for Walmart's Tier 0 payment platform, enabling proactive detection and resolution of issues.
Develop robust incident handling playbooks to ensure swift and effective response to operational disruptions, minimizing impact on business operations and customer experience.

Enthusiasm for cultivating a culture of engineering excellence within the team, advancing practices such as continuous delivery, automation, rigorous performance testing, and elevating unit test code coverage metrics.

The annual salary range for this position is $132,000.00-$264,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
