Job Description:
Summary: Under the supervision of the Equipment Manager and in conjunction with the team of mechanics, the Parts Runner / Shop Worker will pick up and deliver parts, and equipment. Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:•Ensures shop cleanliness and maintenance on a regular basis.•Processes and tracks parts that have been ordered.•Makes repairs and performs routine and preventive maintenance on building shop equipment.•Performs clean up duties at the shop, shop vehicles, offices which may include taking out the trash, sweeping, mopping, dusting and cleaning windows.•Coordinates with mechanics to schedule pickup and delivery of parts and equipment to the different job sites.•Performs parts inventory.•Monitors and reports all safety-related issues at the shop area or any location where maintenance is being performed.•Performs additional responsibilities, as assigned.Requirements:•High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.•Two the three years of related experience and training.•Valid Texas Driver’s License required, CDL preferred.•Bilingual preferred (Spanish).•Demonstrates effective written and oral communication skills.•Demonstrates ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence.•Demonstrates ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure.•Demonstrates a sense of urgency in responding to all situations.•Demonstrates ability to prioritize assigned work and complete it in a timely manner.•Demonstrates ability to collaborate and work effectively as a team.•Demonstrates responsibility in reporting to work on a consistent and timely basis.•Demonstrates the ability to work varying schedules, as needed, to include working overtime.Physical Requirements:•This position exists within a heavy construction environment, including hot, noisy, and wet conditions.•This position requires constant walking throughout jobsites, lifting and carrying tools and equipment exceeding 50 pounds. •Safety toe shoes are required, and other personal protective equipment may be required depending on work assignments.•Work in the construction area poses significantly greater risk due to moving construction equipment and active construction zones with trip and fall hazards. •Driving a vehicle is required.E-Z Bel Construction, LLC Is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity.
