Position Summary

USIC Salesforce Business Analyst is a key player in managing, solving, implementing, and supporting business improvements within the IT team. Business analysts help guide businesses to improve business processes and efficiency in Salesforce. They elicit, document, and analyze requirements around business challenges, and then produce data-driven solutions. Think of the Salesforce business analyst like an interpreter. They’re the go-to person when it comes to communication between IT and business stakeholders to ensure all involved work together to attain the best results.

Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with business stakeholders by conducting workshops and interviews to elicit, analyze, and document detailed business requirements to understand current business processes, identify areas for improvement and implement Salesforce projects.

  • Create relationships and build rapport with stakeholders.

  • Articulate the benefits and risks to a solution’s feasibility, functionality, and scalability.

  • Provide current best practice and third-party solution alternatives from the AppExchange.

  • Work closely with technical teams to translate business requirements into functional specifications and design effective Salesforce solutions.

  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy within Salesforce by implementing best practices for data management.

  • Collaborate with necessary IT teams to determine the most appropriate technical strategy and designs to meet business needs.

  • Collaborate with developers to ensure the successful implementation of customizations and integrations.

  • Perform Salesforce administrator functions limited to declarative development (objects, flows, validation rules, reports, etc.) after approval of requirements.

  • Conduct testing activities (unit testing) to validate that Salesforce solutions meet specified requirements.

  • Support stakeholders to achieve timely UAT (User Acceptance Testing) Sign Off, by preparing and running Demos, preparing Test Cases, providing Training, resolving Bugs, and identifying Bugs vs Enhancements.

  • Create user guides and documentation for training purposes.

  • Assist in defining data migration and integration requirements.

  • Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance to Salesforce users.

  • Follow and understand new Salesforce products and technical capabilities resulting from product releases and acquisitions.

  • Monitor and track project metrics and provide status updates to Key Stakeholders

  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of Salesforce configurations, customizations, and processes.

Qualifications:


  • 1-2 years of experience as a Salesforce or IT Business Analyst, preferably in a consulting environment.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong understanding of Salesforce capabilities and limitations.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Product knowledge of Salesforce Sales and Service Clouds.

  • Salesforce certification(s) such as Salesforce Business Analyst or Salesforce Certified Administrator (or able to obtain certification within the first month of the role).

  • Four-year degree or relevant work experience.

  • Visio and JIRA experience, a plus.
