Full-time employment paying $25.30 an hour while attending school. With the 1 + 2 'Learn While You Earn' program, you can get paid while learning a trade in Industrial Maintenance. Students in the program complete a short Industrial Maintenance training program (9 months); the team member commits to working full-time in the maintenance department at the Dakota City facility for an additional minimum period of two (2) continuous years after completing the 9-month training program. Positions will be responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. This includes repairing and maintaining the operating conditions of the machinery and Industrial equipment used in the beef processing industry, troubleshooting problems that occur in the day-to-day operation of the facility. The position requires performing work involving hydraulics, electrical, plumbing, conveyor maintenance, 3-phase wiring, AC/CD control wiring, welding and pneumatic systems. The Team Member will also set up, adjust and break down production line machinery and complete daily documentation that is required. Must possess strong oral communication and sound decision-making skills. Must be able to work with little or no supervision. Must be willing and able to perform work that involves gripping and the use of your hands and arms above the level of your shoulders. Must be willing and able to stand 10-12 hours a shift on hard floors. Must be willing and able to work in all environments of our processing facility such as Harvesting, Processing, Rendering and Load-out areas. Must be willing and able to work around the sight and smell of meat products or any other product present when working at the plant. Must be willing to work C shift. Since this position may work outside in the seasonal weather AND will work inside the plant, this position can work in a hot, humid environment or cold, damp environment and slippery surfaces. Temperatures can range below 32 to greater than 90 degrees. Lifting requirement varies from 0-75 lbs. Ability and willingness to work varied shifts and extended hours including weekends- HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA, GED or EQUIVALENT preferred.

EXPERIENCE DOCUMENTED IN THE WORK HISTORY SECTION
OF THE APPLICATION OR BE A GRADUATE OF AN INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE TRAINING PROGRAM (CAN BE COMBINATION OF EXPLOYERS AS LONG AS EXPERIENCE IS AT LEAST 1 YEAR)
