What We're Looking For:
We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our team. As a Financial Analyst at Barge Design Solutions, you will play a crucial role in providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making within our firm and provide support to project teams through billing our clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of accounting and financial principles.


Responsibilities:


Provide order-to-cash support to project teams across the strategic lines of business within Barge, from project set up, billing and receivable management.


Perform financial forecasting and analysis to support strategic planning and decision-making processes.


Analyze financial data, trends, and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimization.


Conduct variance analysis to explain discrepancies between actual and budgeted performance and recommend corrective actions.


Assist in the development of financial models, sensitivity analysis, and scenario planning to assess potential outcomes and risks.


Partner with leaders across the firm and collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant financial information and provide valuable insights.


Support ad-hoc finance and accounting projects, initiatives, and decision-making processes as required.


Stay updated on regulatory changes, accounting standards, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and adherence to financial regulations.



Education & Experience Qualifications:
Skills & Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.


Proven experience as a Financial Analyst, Staff Accountant or Project Accountant (or similar role) preferably in a corporate finance or financial services environment.


Strong proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and financial reporting tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, ERP systems, PowerBI).


Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and draw meaningful insights.


Solid understanding of accounting concepts and financial principles.


Effective communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.


Detail-oriented mindset with a high degree of accuracy and integrity in financial analysis and reporting.


Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.


Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
