Job Description:

We are growing and have a need for an experienced Facilities Technician to help maintain our buildings for our patients and employees! Must be flexible t work at any of the Vancouver Clinic locations, including the Greater Portland area locations.

Under limited supervision, performs a variety of semi-skilled interior and exterior maintenance\\repair work to ensure the safe and efficient operations of the facilities, and performs related duties as directed by the Facilities Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Troubleshoots minor maintenance problems involving, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, Fire system, and other building related systems and components.

  • Performs preventative building maintenance duties on physical structure, roof, doors, and hardware.

  • Performs routine plumbing repairs such as unstopping toilets, sinks or urinals, repairing leaks, as well as rebuilding of plumbing faucets, and valves.

  • Performs routine electrical repairs such as changing of light bulbs or lamps, and assist in repair of ballast, outlets, switches, and other fixtures.

  • Contributes to the overall safety of Clinic facilities, including proper disposal of biohazard and waste materials.

  • Assembles and moves furniture or other equipment, hangs pictures, tack boards, moves and sets up tables and chairs in conference rooms to accommodate meetings.

  • Installs equipment and furniture and assists with Clinic moves.

  • Repairs wall damage, patches, paint, as required.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, to include evenings and weekends, and Holidays as need arises and for participation in the "On call" rotation to respond to Clinic emergencies.

  • Assist with Coordination of outside contractor as required for specialized repairs, annual testing, or other projects.

  • Keep records and logs of maintenance details per required compliance, via manual or electronic methods.

EDUCATION AND SKILLS


  • High school diploma or GED equivalency.

  • Minimum of two years' experience in building maintenance.

  • Must have a valid driver's license and qualify as an acceptable driver per Vancouver Clinic policy.

  • Knowledge of and skilled in trades related to a variety of building maintenance, maintenance procedures and techniques, tools of the trades, and occupational hazards associated with the work.

  • Excellent customer service skills, and ability to communicate effectively.

  • Basic project management skills, ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Pay Range:
$24.21 - $33.90

PTO and Personal Time accruals are pro-rated by FTE/hours worked. Non-benefits eligible employees will accrue Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked.
