Description

Summary

This role is responsible for collaborating with all adjunct faculty in developing and delivering effective and engaging online asynchronous courses equipped to meet the online learner needs while staying cutting edge with the most recent learning pedagogies including adopting AI tools.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop a template for online asynchronous courses intuitive for faculty to adopt and incorporate prompts of regular and substantive interaction.


• Provide faculty training and support to ensure courses are well developed and consistent with the institutional expectations.


• Conduct audits as needed to ensure consistency in meeting online asynchronous requirements and delivery of instruction.


• Review online asynchronous faculty requirements and regularly evaluate their efficacy based on quantitative (student success, drops, ..etc) and qualitative measures (course evaluations, observations, etc).


• Identify AI tools to aid faculty in developing online courses.


• Collaborate with the academic team to identify effective tools to document student's portfolios.


• Other projects and related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

Master's degree or higher in instructional design, education technology, or a similar field, terminal degree preferred.

Experience:

Five or more years of instructional design experience in developing online, mobile, and instructor-led courses
Curriculum development experience
Experience working with various eLearning technology platforms and learning management systems.
Experience delivering professional training

Working Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment with people interaction. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and office machines. The employee will be requested to log hours worked in a system provided by the institution and track individual task assignments in another tool.
