Associate Director for Residence LifeHousing and Residence Life

Location: New Orleans, LA

Summary

The Associate Director for Residence Life is a valued member of the Housing and Residence Life Senior Leadership Team. The Associate Director is responsible for the overall development of the residential program for approximately 4,200 undergraduate students who reside in 14 facilities. Specific responsibilities include the direct supervision of 4 Assistant Directors and indirect supervision of approximately 10 full-time master's level Resident Directors, 3 Graduate Assistants and approximately 180 student employees (RAs and DSCs).
The Associate Director provides leadership in the department and is responsible for all recruitment, selection, and training of Residence Life staff. This position has additional responsibilities for programming budget, conduct, residential curriculum, and all living-learning programs. This position works closely with other Student Affairs colleagues and university partners. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, challenging, and growing culture with the addition of new residential facilities in the future. The Associate Director is required to work some evening and weekend hours. This position participates in the Student Affairs Professional On-Call (Tier III) rotation.

Required Qualifications

·Master's Degree.

·3 years of progressively responsible experience in residential education, university housing, or student services.

Preferred Qualifications

·Master's Degree in Student Affairs, College Student Personnel, Higher Education, Counseling or a related field.

·5 years of progressively responsible experience in residential education, university housing or student services.
