Postdoc Advertisement Information

The Theoretical Quantum Information and Optics (TQIO) group - led by Prof. Mayukh Lahiri at the Department of Physics, Oklahoma State University, USA - invites applications for a postdoctoral position. The TQIO research group is a dynamic team of researchers working on quantum imaging and photonics-based approach to quantum information science. The group is funded by the US Federal Agencies and has strong collaboration with experimental groups in EU and South America.   Starting date and duration: The appointment will preferably begin in Fall 2023 and be for one year, renewable for up to three years depending on performance and availability of funds. The starting date can be flexible for a suitable candidate.   Job description: The selected candidate will be involved in cutting-edge theoretical research projects focusing on 1) the study of entangled quantum states in various interferometric arrangements, and 2) application of quantum physics to push boundaries of imaging science further. The selected candidate is also expected to work jointly with the students in the group. A willingness and ability collaborate with experimental groups would be an advantage.   Qualification: The successful candidate should have a PhD or about to submit their thesis in Physics or a related field with background in one or more of classical and quantum optics, imaging with light, and quantum entanglement. Strong analytical and programming skills are required.
