Teaching Assistant Professor Position in Physics at Oklahoma State University

 

The Department of Physics at Oklahoma State University (OSU) invites applications for a Teaching Assistant Professor (TAP) position for the 2024-2025 academic year.  Appointment to this non-tenure-track position is for one year and may be renewed contingent on satisfactory performance and availability of funding for the position. Re­spon­si­bilities include teaching at least two algebra-based and calculus-based undergraduate introductory physics courses. A successful candidate will be able to use best pedagogical methods in teaching physics, providing an effective teaching and proactive mentoring to students, and contribute to the Department's effort towards undergraduate recruitment and retention of all students taking physics classes. Candidates must have experience teaching online.  Summer teaching is also available to interested candidates.The Department of Physics welcomes applications from candidates who will contribute to the diversity and excellence of the Physics Department. A Ph.D. in Physics or a closely related field is required. Expected start date is August 16, 2024.
