General Description / Primary Purpose:

The University seeks to attract an active, culturally, and academically diverse faculty of the highest caliber, skilled in the scholarship of teaching, discovery, application, and integration of knowledge. Two positions will be filled from this recruitment. Candidate is required to have a M.S. or Ph.D. (preferred) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field with at least 18 graduate credit hours in chemistry. Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching.

Job Function:

Responsibilities for the position include laboratory instruction, working with Lab Manager and Lab Technician to provide lab support each term, determining supplies and consumables to be ordered to support teaching labs, and determining that lab equipment and lab space are in good condition to teach laboratory experiments.

Faculty Position Required Qualifications:

Lab lecturer candidates are required to have at least a M.S. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field (with at least 18 graduate credit hours in chemistry), but a Ph.D. is preferred. Must be able and willing to comply with safety standards, regulations, and precautions; able to stand for extended periods and to lift heavy objects.


Departmental Requirements:

Ph.D. preferred.
