The Department of Veterinary Pathobiology, College of Veterinary Medicine at Oklahoma State University has an opening for a Resident in Veterinary Clinical Pathology. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong interest in diagnostic clinical pathology. Our program has 3 board certified clinical pathologists and 2 clinical pathology residents. The successful candidate will receive training in all fields of Clinical Pathology including hematology, cytology, clinical chemistry, urinalysis, and histopathology. Residents participate in clinical diagnostic service, regularly scheduled rounds, small-group teaching of DVM students, and seminars in conjunction with other residents. In addition, residents spend 2 months per year training at a commercial diagnostic laboratory where they have access to a large and varied amount of case material. This is a 3-year program designed to prepare candidates for a career in diagnostic Veterinary Clinical Pathology and obtain board certification by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists. Concurrent enrollment in a graduate degree is not required. The starting salary for this position is $35,000 per year with benefits including health insurance with a start date of July 31, 2024.
