Performs administrative and managerial duties relating to the clinicaleducation programs and clinical research in the Department. Participates inplanning didactic material in consultation with the Office of ClinicalEducation and the Office of Biomedical Sciences.  Serves as liaison between the Department of Psychiatry and BehavioralSciences and other College units. Supervises the planning, delivery, andevaluation of the teaching programs. Plans, submits to the Dean, and administersan annual fiscal year operational budget to support operation of thedepartment. Recruits full and part-time faculty. Assigns personnel andevaluates personnel performances. Recommends personnel actions pertaining toacquisition, promotion and/or tenure, retention, and dismissal. Conductsregularly scheduled meetings of personnel assigned to the Department ofPsychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Serves as the final arbiter in the event ofa grievance regarding departmental matters. Recommends programs for developmentand enrichment of departmental personnel. Prepares requests for services,space, and equipment required to reasonably carry out the functions of thedepartment. Serves on various College committees as requested. Completes required reports. Develops andencourages clinical research in the department. Evaluates instructional goalsand establishes new goals.

-Doctor of Osteopathy or Medical Doctorate
-Eligibility for licensure in the state of Oklahoma, Board Certification in Psychiatry
-At least five (5) years of experience in medical school teaching and leadership or equivalent experience



Preferred:

-Experience in a state system of medical education
